Someone accused the APC member of celebrating Deborah’s murder in a tweet on Saturday.
He wrote, “This year’s issue is the extent to which hypocrisy has proliferated. This is the same man who was celebrating the brutal murder of an innocent woman under the guise of blasphemy last year”.

Reacting to the claim, Bashir Ahmad asked the Twitter user to provide any evidence that shows he supported the killing of Deborah.
He wrote, “I have consistently refrained from responding to accusations regarding my stance on Deborah’s tragic demise. However, considering your professional background, as stated in your bio – a journalist, researcher, and fact-checker – I feel it’s necessary to engage with you. You’ve accused me of “celebrating the brutal murder of an innocent woman under the guise of blasphemy last year.” I must firmly challenge this claim.
