After CBN Increased Interest Rates From 24.75 Percent To 26.25 Percent, Oseni Rufai Reacts

Oseni Rufai, a well-known broadcaster on Arise TV, responded to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) decision to increase interest rates from 24.75% to 26.25%. Olayemi Cardoso, the governor of the CBN, made the statement at a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja, during the committee’s 295th meeting. The benchmark rate will be increased by the top bank for the third time this year.

On hearing the report, the Arise TV anchor took to his official X handle to react. He expressed dismay upon hearing the news, asserting that it was ill-timed given the country’s current struggle with skyrocketing inflation rates.
