Bashir Ahmad, a former advisor to President Muhammadu Buhari, has responded to the arrest of Bello Mohammed, the ruthless kidnapper, by the Nigeria Police in Kaduna State. In his post on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter, Bashir Ahmad expressed hope that the lawsuit will result in justice being done.
He also said that Bello Mohammed should be prosecuted publicly to send a warning to other bandits and terrorists that are terrorizing innocent Nigerians across the country.
He said, “I hope justice will be swiftly served to Mohammed Bello, a terrorist who was apprehended by the Police for his involvement in the kidnapping of Najeebah and her sisters. Justice should be carried out publicly, not in secrecy, to send a strong message to other criminals terrorizing innocent individuals.”
According to the statement which was released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Bello Mohammed was arrested after a police officer raided a hotel in the Tafa area in Kaduna State.
The sum of 2.25 million naira was reportedly found with him, and the money is suspected to be money he got as ransom from his kidnapped victims.
Following his arrest, Bello Mohammed had offered one million naira as a bribe to the officer who arrested him, but the officer turned down his offer and did his job diligently.
