He underlined that progress would be challenging to make without security. In a recent video uploaded to YouTube by Arise TV, Yusuf said that many people in the north are struggling and that women are queuing up for little amounts of rice, while the south is developing with projects like a 15.6 trillion naira expressway. He also emphasized the obligations of leaders. He added that God would question them about their use of the authority and riches bestowed upon them on the day of judgment.

In Yusuf’s words: “South is developing N15.6trn highway but our women are lining up to receive cups of rice. Leaders must look at themselves and remember that on that day that is certain, God almighty will ask them what did they do when he gave them this responsibility; so far they are not doing well”.
