According to Sumner Sambo, Wike Knew That If He Goes Too Far, All Those House Of Assembly Members Will Be RemovedA Political Commentator, Sumner Sambo, has, during an interview on NewsNight, an Arise Television programme, insinuated that the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, really wanted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the crisis in Rivers State; as he noted that the former Rivers Governor knew that the House of Assembly members might lose their seats it he went too far. Sumner Sambo had said, “Yes, because the attempt to use the House of Assembly members seems to have backfired, and Wike already knew that if he goes far beyond what is acceptable, all those House of Assembly members will be removed, so this peace pact actually, he was the one who enjoyed it more. And so in the nutshell, I want to say clearly here that just as I said in the Benue instance, when you have godson and godfather fighting, the tendency is for the state to actually develop, so you can see that Governor Fubara is under tension to deliver in terms of good governance.”
