In a recent interview with Punch News, Philip Shaibu said: “I was a member of the Civil Liberty Organization, and I was also their coordinator in the North-East and North-Central.

I would have fled the country if General Abdulsalami Abubakar, hadn’t given us amnesty. While in detention, I was one of those released by the government due to the former US ambassador’s intervention. My khaki is borne out of activism; it’s not showmanship. I stick to the khaki because it reminds me of my identity and where I am coming from. It also reminds me that I need to do the right thing, having fought the government in the past for doing the wrong thing.”

Ben Murray-Bruce, a former senator for the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has discussed the importance and benefits of the momentous Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Road/Rail Project.

The former senator discussed the benefits and importance of the coastal route in a video posted on the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) official X page on Monday.

While talking about the significance and the advantages of the coastal road, Murray-Bruce said the highway will slash travel time, reduce transportation costs, and increase access to markets and resources.

Murray-Bruce said it will be a game-changer for entrepreneurs, investors, and travelers, unlocking new opportunities and boosting economic growth.

Furthermore, Murray-Bruce said the Lagos-Calabar Highway will be a lifeline for business and a catalyst for economic development, symbolizing hope for a brighter future. He said anyone opposing the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project should not ply the road when it is completed; instead, they should stick to the old, long, and treacherous route.

In his words;
