The wife of Ewu Kingdom King Clement Ikolo, Ugonwa Onwuneme Ikolo, who turned herself in to the police, has reacted. The army designated King Ikolo wanted in relation to the deaths of troops in the Okuama community. In a recent video that Arise TV posted to YouTube, Mrs. Ikolo explained that her husband was not involved in the unfortunate occurrence and she was shocked to learn that the army had suddenly declared him wanted. She highlighted the close relationship her husband shared with one of the slain soldiers, Major Obi, stating that he would never harm someone he considered a friend. She stressed that her husband was not invited or contacted by any security agencies regarding the matter before he was declared wanted.

In Mrs. Ikolo’s words: “One of the [slain soldiers] Major Obi is a close friend, we can’t kill people we wine and dine with. It is unacceptable and my husband will never in this life and in the next generation authorize that. He had no knowledge of this and what is really worrisome for me is that at no point did any of the security agencies invite him, he was never invited.
