According to Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu "Peter Obi played a very tribal politics which is very risky, we can not become president with his style"

Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the Zonal Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in South East, criticises Peter Obi’s divisive electoral tactics in a direct interview on TVC TV, emphasising the risks associated with leveraging race and religion to obtain votes. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He contends that Obi’s messaging exploited Igbo people’s anxieties of religious persecution and conversion to incite disturbance and give the impression that the APC’s “Muslim-Muslim” ticket would restrict their freedom of religion.

However, he asserts that these fears were unfounded and notes that even after the election, he, as a Catholic, has continued to practice his religion freely and peacefully under the APC administration.

He said, “Peter Obi played a very tribal politics which is very risky, we can not become president with his style. The sentiments of tribe and religion are ordained from modern society for crying out loud. And that is just what he played. He made the people believe that Muslim-Muslim ticket, APC is going to convert all of us. I’m Catholic and I’m still Catholic now. And nobody has by any means or style to convince me from being a Catholic to being a Muslim.
