According to Alhaji Sani:”The North Has Oil in Nasarawa, More Than What We Have In The South and Southeast”

The National Party of Nigeria (NPN) co-founder, Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura, responded to assertions that other parts of Nigeria have superior natural resource endowments than the North. According to him, the North contains gas in Bauchi and more oil in Nasarawa than the whole South and Southeast. Speaking further in an interview with Trust TV, Alhaji Sani stated that the North has 80% of the landmass in Nigeria, which is a plus for the North because land is a finite resource.

According to him, “We have oil in Nasarawa, more than what we have in the south and southeast, but it is still the political will that is needed to explore it. We have gas in Bauchi in large commercial quantities, and the importation of gas is even greater than that of oil.
