Group: Peter Obi left PDP when it became obvious that Atiku was going to win the PDP Primaries

Leadership reports that a group called Obi-dients United For Equity has criticized former presidential candidate Peter Obi for his choices regarding the current PDP (People’s Democratic Party) political climate. The leader of the group is Ms. Blessing Edobor.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The criticism stems from Obi’s departure from the PDP, which occurred when it became clear that Atiku Abubakar was likely to win the party’s primaries. The group argues that Obi is more focused on his personal ambitions than on promoting equity, fairness, justice, and inclusion in Edo State.

According to Edobor, Obi has not called for new primaries to replace a “candidate of division and exclusion.” This, the group claims, shows that his political goals matter more to him than the principles he once advocated for, which are crucial for the people of Edo State.

Additionally, the group alleges that Obi has used the candidacy of Olumide Akpata as a way to mock the very reasons he left the PDP for the Labour Party. They believe his actions contradict the values he claimed to support, raising concerns about his commitment to true representation and fairness in politics.

Group said, “Peter Obi would ask for no fresh Primaries to replace a candidate of division and exclusion because his ambition matters more to him than the call for Equity, Fairness, Justice and Inclusion in Edo State. He hid behind ‘Olumide Akpata is the Candidate of my Party’ to mock the same reason he left the PDP to the Labour Party. Peter Obi left the PDP when it became obvious that Atiku Abubakar was going to win the PDP Primaries.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
