Ahmadu Fintiri: Damagum Should Complete Former PDP Chairman Tenure Unless the Court Decides Otherwise

In a statement released by Humwashi Wonosikou, the Press Secretary to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, the North-East governors expressed their confidence in Damagum’s leadership.

They stated that the PDP chapters in Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Borno, and Yobe states had collectively endorsed his role as acting national chairman.

Governor Fintiri, speaking on behalf of the five states, highlighted his support for Damagum since he assumed office.

Referencing a Federal High Court Abuja restraining order, Fintiri stated that “Damagum should complete former Chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu’s tenure unless the court decides otherwise.”

The governors acknowledged Damagum’s efforts in restoring public confidence in the party. They emphasized the need for party members to respect the court’s ruling, framing it as essential for both the party and the integrity of democracy.
