Names of 7 PDP governors who want Umar Damagum Removal out of office as PDP national chairman

Tensions within the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) regarding the continuation of interim national chairman Alhaji Iliya Umar Damagum’s leadership have led to a new level of divide inside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum.According to reports, Damagum, the former National Deputy Chairman (North) of the PDP, took over as acting National Chairman following the court’s suspension of Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s National Chairman. Yobe State native Umar Damagum, who is believed to be close to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is located in Nigeria’s northeast geopolitical zone.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to The Nation, it was made known that seven Governors in the party, want Damagum removed as the party’s National Chairman.

Their names were given as Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri; Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno.
