Okocha remembered how the same chairmen had demonstrated for seven days, cooking and dancing in the streets, to put pressure on INEC to declare the results of Governor Fubara’s election in an interview with TVC News.
Okocha wondered what had gone wrong just three months later, leading the chairmen to now oppose Fubara’s government. He questioned the sincerity of their earlier actions, suggesting that their current stance may be driven by personal interests rather than the greater good of the state.

When it was almost difficult for INEC to announce Fubara’s result, the same Local Government Chairmen took to the street for seven days, cooking and dancing on the street, protesting to INEC national to authorize the INEC here to announce the result.
