According to INDEPENDENT, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, a key player in the Kano Emirate fiasco, has declared significant modifications to the upcoming Sallah celebrations in a statement. At a news conference held at Nasarawa Palace on Saturday, the announcement was made. Additionally, Bayero announced the cancellation of the Durbar activities, which are usually held to mark the festival of sacrifice.

This decision was based on security advice aimed at ensuring peace in Kano.

He underlined the importance of maintaining peace and security in the ancient city.

The cancellation of these traditional activities marks a departure from the usual Sallah celebrations in Kano.
