In a television commercial, Rivers State APC Caretaker Committee Publicity Secretary Chibike Ikenga underlined that Justice Bassam still views the legislators from Rivers who defected to the APC as PDP members. He emphasized that the court case was unable to establish their real defection to the APC. According to him, “The court under Justice Bassam has ruled that they have not left their party and they still remain members of the party because those who took them to court did not provide evidence to show that they have actually resigned from their party and joined the other party, the APC.
