2027 APC: What Is Unclear, However, Is Whether Peter Obi Will Make A Comeback To Atiku's PDPFollowing their latest meeting, the All Progressives Congress (APC) took aim at Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election. During an interview with BBC Hausa Service, Atiku had said that alliance between him and Peter Obi is possible, and that they can merge to achieve a common goal.

He added that if his party’s presidential ticket is zoned to the South-East and Peter Obi is chosen, he would not hesitate to support him.

According to the report by The Cable on Tuesday, the APC said that Atiku and Peter Obi are united by their mutual desperation to be president of Nigeria.

In the statement he released on Tuesday, APC spokesman, Felix Morka, said that Peter Obi’s recent visit to Atiku has fueled speculations of a possible alliance between both men or a merger of their political parties in the lead-up to the 2027 election.

He added, “What is unclear, however, is whether Obi will make a comeback to Atiku’s PDP or whether Atiku will dump his PDP and seek rehabilitation in Obi’s Labour Party, or whether both men will abandon PDP and Labour Party altogether and journey into the political wilderness of Professor Pat Utomi’s mega party.

“Atiku and Obi are united by their mutual desperation to be President of Nigeria and ignoble disdain for President Bola Tinubu’s focused and extraordinary commitment to the transformation of our party.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
