It was stated on Sunday, March 31, 2024, that two burglars who were discovered with stolen goods inside a minibus known as Korope had been taken into custody by officers of the Lagos State Police Command soon after breaking into a store and taking the goods. Adeyemi Ibrahim, 24, and Taiwo Adisa, 45, are the names of the state police command’s public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who revealed the development on his X handle on Sunday. According to Hundeyin, the two thieves were arrested by patrol officers from the Oko Oba Division of the command around 6:30 a.m. during a stop and search after stealing the items at a shop in the Iju Ishaga area of the state.
It was gathered that the officers on patrol intercepted the minibus and decided to conduct a search. When the bus was searched, one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker, among others, were said to have been found inside.
During their questioning, it was discovered that they just broke into a shop in Iju Ishaga and stole the items.
They are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation into their nefarious activities.
Hundeyin wrote: “At about 6:30 a.m., patrol officers from Oko Oba Division intercepted 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa in a minibus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.
“Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju Ishaga area and stole the items. Shop owner has been contacted for return of property. Prosecution follows.”
