Yul Edochie: "Stop burning shrines and deities. Many deities acknowledge God Almighty"

Veteran Nollywood actor and self-described priest Yul Edochie has resorted to social media to warn people against using fire to demolish altars and idols that traditionalists worship because many of these objects acknowledge the existence of God. The brand influencer requested people to stop burning temples and deities on their official Instagram stories a short while ago. He also added that not all deities are malevolent. According to the filmmaker, the Westerners convinced them that all their ways are evil so that they could discard their ways and embrace the ways of the Westerners, adding that they need to wake up and start embracing their tradition.

Speaking further, Yul Edochie revealed that many deities acknowledge God Almighty, adding that burning them down could bring perpetual trouble to such individual.

Yul Edochie finally advised people to leave anything that they do not understand and they should not disturb it if it is not disturbing them.

Yul Edochie wrote;

“Stop burning shrines and deities. Not all deities are evil. Oyibo convinced us that all our ways are evil so we could discard our ways and embrace theirs, making slavery easy. We need to wake up and start embracing our tradition. Many deities acknowledge God Almighty.

“Burning them could bring you perpetual trouble. If you don’t understand something, leave it. If it’s not disturbing you, don’t disturb it.”
