One of the suspects involved in Saturday’s Yoruba Nations agitators’ invasion of the Oyo State Secretariat has disclosed what their sponsors informed them. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The Oyo State Police Command paraded twenty suspects, including Ayanwale Rofiayat, in the state capital of Ibadan.

According to the report by Vanguard, Rofiayat said that the sponsors promised her and her whole family that they would be empowered, and that they would never know hunger again.

Speaking about the foreign military camouflage that they were arrested with, the suspect said that the camouflage was given to them when they met at Ibadan before proceeding to the State Secretariat.

She said, “I’m from Igbo Ora in the Ibarapa zone of the state. The sponsors promised me and my entire family that they will empower us and that our future will be assured. Starvation would no longer be in our lives and that cost of living would automatically come down.

“The Army camouflage attire on me was given to me and other members when we converged in Ibadan before moving to the Secretariat.”

It should be recalled that the suspected Yoruba Nations agitators were arrested after they invaded the Oyo State Secretariat on Saturday and hoisted their flag on the building.

The spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, Onyema Nwachukwu, had said that the Nigerian Army swung into action after receiving news that the suspects had invaded the State Secretariat in buses and buses.

In a statement he released, he said that when they arrived at the scene, the suspects engaged the Nigerian troops in a shootout, but they were eventually overpowered by the superior firepower of the Nigerian troops.

He further disclosed that the suspects were arrested with dangerous weapons.
