In an interview with AIT, Yobana stated that Wike reprimanded a chairman from Ikwerre Local Government Area (LGA) for insulting Governor Fubara and successfully prompted him to issue an apology to Fubara. He said despite this, other local government chairmen have continued to insult Fubara. He also said that when Fubara increased the wages of local government employees in line with the federal government’s 30 thousand naira minimum wage directive, the local government chairmen resisted this implementation.
