While testing the bulletproof charm, an Abuja herbalist shoots himself in the stomach.

 

 

Ismail Usman, a herbalist, is critically ill after trying a risky experiment to determine whether a homemade bulletproof charm works. Vanguard claims that the incident happened at Kuchibuyi Village, Abuja, and that Shandam Michael, a local, reported it to the FCT Police Command. Police said that Usman, who is renowned for using unusual tactics, used a shotgun to shoot himself in the stomach to demonstrate that the charm would shield him from gunfire.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Unfortunately, the charm failed, resulting in life-threatening injuries.

Officers from the Byazhin Division responded to the distress call and found Usman in critical condition.

He was immediately taken to Kubwa General Hospital for emergency treatment, and later transferred to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital for further care.

A search of Usman’s home revealed the homemade gun and several other charms involved in his reckless experiment.

Investigations are ongoing, and Usman is expected to face charges for unlawful possession of firearms and attempted suicide, as per Section 231 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.

FCT Police Commissioner, CP Olatunji Disu, condemned the incident, emphasizing the dangers of illegal firearms and reckless behavior.
