The PDP’s call for the redeployment of these officials reflects the party’s concerns about the upcoming election’s integrity and fairness. The party’s dissatisfaction stems from their apprehensions regarding the current administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC). The PDP’s stance on this matter underscores their concerns about potential biases or mismanagement that could impact the election’s outcome.

On the same day, the APC signed an accord with the National Peace Committee in Edo State, committing to peaceful conduct during the election. In contrast, the PDP opted not to sign the accord, citing their reservations about the APC-led administration’s approach and the overall electoral environment. This divergence highlights the growing tensions between the two major political parties as they prepare for the crucial electoral contest.

During the press conference, Damagum emphasized the party’s commitment to protecting their votes, stating that PDP members are prepared to take significant measures to ensure their votes are counted. The Acting National Chairman reiterated the party’s determination to actively participate in the election, despite the heightened concerns surrounding the process.

Damagum also called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to oversee the election process and address the PDP’s concerns. The party’s request reflects their desire for a transparent and secure election environment.

He said: “We are going to participate. We will come out in mass, and we will defend our votes with our blood.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
