Residents of Edo State have escalated their protests against Governor Godwin Obaseki in a new video posted on TVC. They are calling for an apology for what they see as Obaseki’s disrespect for the traditions and practices of the Benin Kingdom. A spokesperson for the protestors highlighted their grievances, stating, “Having given the governor a one-week ultimatum to apologize to His Majesty and the good people of Benin Kingdom for the kind of abysmal administration that he administered on the people, and for the respect he did not show to the Benin customs and the Benin tradition.”
