A spokesperson for the protestors highlighted their grievances, stating, “Having given the governor a one-week ultimatum to apologize to His Majesty and the good people of Benin Kingdom for the kind of abysmal administration that he administered on the people, and for the respect he did not show to the Benin customs and the Benin tradition.”
