Obama responded to the early announcement of Trump’s win by posting on his X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasizing patience in the counting process. This statement came shortly after Trump delivered a speech claiming electoral victory. Obama, who endorsed Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris, reminded Americans:

“It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:

“Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.

“Don’t share things before checking your sources.

“Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.”

Meanwhile, several world leaders have extended congratulations to Trump. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared, “Heartiest congratulations, my friend Donald Trump, on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Together, let’s work for the betterment of our people and promote global peace, stability, and prosperity.”

Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz also expressed willingness to work with Trump, stating, “I congratulate Donald Trump on his election as U.S. President. Germany and the USA have long collaborated successfully to promote prosperity and freedom on both sides of the Atlantic. We will continue to do so for the benefit of our citizens.”

President of the European Union Ursula Von Der Leyen conveyed a similar sentiment: “I warmly congratulate Donald J. Trump. The EU and the U.S. are more than allies; we share a genuine partnership between our people, uniting 800 million citizens. Let’s work together on a strong transatlantic agenda that delivers for them.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
