Highlighting the importance of combating hunger, poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and corruption in Nigeria, Sowore cautioned that these key challenges pose a significant threat to the nation’s peace and stability. His statement comes in the wake of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Comptroller General, Kemi Nandap’s declaration that sponsors of the #EndBadGovernance protests abroad are under surveillance and will be apprehended upon their return to the country.

The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstrations have persisted for six consecutive days, with participants demanding improved governance, economic reforms, and an end to corruption. However, the protests have been met with a heavy-handed response from security forces, resulting in numerous arrests and injuries.
