Tinubu: You are no longer the governor of Lagos, let your next Salah be spent in Sokoto–According to Peter Obi

 

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi recently called on President Tinubu to change his leadership style to one that is more inclusive of the entire country in a video message that was aired on Symfoni TV.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a direct address to the president, Obi emphasized the importance of distinguishing between state and national leadership roles. “Mr. President, you are no longer the governor of Lagos State; you are now the President of Nigeria,” he stated, urging the president to demonstrate a more nationwide presence.

The former Anambra governor suggested that the president should consider celebrating major festivities across different regions of the country. “Let your next Salah, Easter, or Christmas holidays be spent in Yola, Sokoto, or Bauchi, among others,” Obi recommended.

On electoral reforms, Obi highlighted what he considers the administration’s most crucial challenge. “The single most challenging test you face is ensuring that future elections are credible and reflect the will of the people,” he declared.

Concluding his address, Obi stressed the importance of direct communication between the president and citizens. “Nigerians need to hear from you directly—not through your proxies,” he stated, adding that “Quarterly updates on what you are doing to improve the situation are crucial.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
