He further noted that the President expressed disapproval of Governor Fubara’s recent actions, particularly his decision to present a budget to only four assembly members instead of the full 27-member assembly. Tinubu reportedly criticized this move, viewing it as a violation of Nigeria’s democratic principles and an undermining of legislative integrity.
He said in an interview with News Central TV, “Mr. President invited the governor to mediate between the FCT Minister and himself. He told him clearly that an impeachment would disrupt the political activities in the state. In his eight-point agenda, the President said there should be no impeachment because he doesn’t want any impeachment to disorganize the political activities in the state.
The President criticized Governor Fubara for presenting the budget to a four-member assembly, saying, ‘You have destroyed the democratic tenet of Nigeria.
