The Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Ben Igweh, has discussed the steps taken to address the threat of criminal kidnapping in the FCT. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Igweh clarified in a TVC interview that they have successfully taken control of the thieves’ pathways after deciphering their tactics. With assurance, he declared that the police had competent motorcyclists on their hands, including himself, who could take on the offenders who ride motorcycles. Additionally, he added that the police may pursue kidnappers in mountainous areas using motorcycles.

Igweh emphasized that the police are well-equipped, thanks to resources provided by the Inspector General (IG), allowing them to succeed in their operations. He expressed gratitude to the IG, stating that Abuja is gradually returning to its former state of security and prosperity

In Igweh’s words: “They think it is only them that can ride motorcycle, I can ride motorcycle better than them and I have boys that ride motorcycles. So when they are with their motorcycles, we are equally with our own motorcycles. The IG provided us a lot that we are succeeding in our operations.
