The Rate At Which We Are Doing Parties, Why Don't You Use The Money To Help Your Neighbor? -According to Sen Remi

Speaking about the difficulties Nigerians are now facing, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has argued for a change in emphasis from lavish celebrations to supporting one another. She pointed out that comparable job prospects exist in Nigeria where people can stay with their loved ones, criticizing the tendency of Nigerians considering moving overseas without a clear plan for employment. She questioned the difference in the willingness of people with higher education levels to drive cabs abroad but not at home.

She said in an interview with Arise TV, ”We believe these are times that will pass but at the same time, Nigerians can help each other. The rate at which we are doing parties, why don’t you use the money to help your neighbor? I believe in Social development and Social investment for people who truly need it. And in the Bible, they talked about it during the time of Jesus. He said the poor will always have in the land.

So the people whom God has blessed should help the poor. And again, you don’t even know those who are poor. If you don’t ride a car, they will say they are poor. If you don’t have your own home, they will say they are poor. Even all those people saying they are going to Japa. If you go there what work are you going to do? It’s the same work that you are supposed to do at home where you have loved ones and you end up going to do that. Even with all their education, they are driving cabs.
