During an interview, Oyedokun revealed that he inherited the vest from his late father, a herbalist, and believed it had magical powers. According to Oyedokun, the vest was meant to protect him from bullets and ensure his disappearance during a crime. However, things did not go as expected during his first attempt to use the vest in an armed robbery.

“The bulletproof vest failed me because I ought to have disappeared from the scene of the operation,” Oyedokun lamented. “I don’t know why it failed me. I was expected to have disappeared and not been arrested when the Amotekun personnel stormed the venue of the operation.”

Despite relying on the supernatural powers he believed the vest held, Oyedokun was captured and paraded with other suspects. The group, which included armed robbers, kidnappers, and motorcycle thieves, had been terrorizing communities in the state for some time.

The commander of Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed that all the suspects had been thoroughly profiled and would face legal proceedings after investigations are completed.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
