According to the police, the prime suspect, Jeremiah Paul, was alleged to have lured Olowoyo into the bush under false pretenses before killing her for ritual purposes. The police spokesperson, SP William Aya, disclosed that Paul confessed to committing the crime on September 4, 2024, after luring the victim with promises of affection. Paul allegedly administered a drink spiked with codeine to Olowoyo before carrying out the murder.

The police revealed that the suspect had initially contacted the family of the deceased, demanding a ransom for her release. The family, in a desperate attempt to secure her safety, paid a sum of N400,000 to Paul, unaware that their daughter had already been killed. Investigations further indicated that another suspect had earlier approached the victim but withdrew when he could not meet the demands for the ritual. Paul, alongside an accomplice from Kaduna, then took over and executed the crime.

The suspect, a 20-year-old from Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, reportedly confessed to using codeine mixed with a soft drink to drug the victim. Once she was incapacitated, Paul led Olowoyo to an uncompleted building where he strangled her. He then disposed of the body in a nearby bush, removing certain body parts as instructed by a native doctor for a ritual.

Police investigations have continued to uncover more details surrounding the case. The involvement of accomplices, including the role played by the other suspects, is also under scrutiny as authorities work to ensure all individuals connected to the crime are brought to justice.

He said: I bought codeine and Sprite and missed it up and gave it to her. I first drank it so that she won’t suspect it. When She drank it, I told her let us go to my house and she agreed. When she felt weak, I took her to an uncompleted building close to my place and strangled her to death. The cloth she was wearing, I used it to tie her leg, and neck. I later dragged her to a nearby bush and removed what the native doctor told me to remove.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
