The actress claimed that English is the first language that Nigerians learn in a recent appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, adding that other languages in the nation ought to be avoided.

According to the report which was also carried by Daily Post, Adunni Ade who was born to a Nigerian father of Yoruba descent and a German-American mother said that she however appreciates the fact that her father brought her to Nigeria to learn the Nigerian culture, language and the way of life of the people.

Adunni Ade who is one of the talented actresses in the Nigerian movie industry said, “Speaking Yoruba is draining, sometimes it hurts my nerves. The first language we know in Nigeria is English. Let’s put all the other languages aside.”
