The AAC’s former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, spoke out about his imprisonment and years-long confinement following the Federal Government’s withdrawal of its legal action against him. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During an interview with Arise TV, Sowore highlighted the significant difference between his circumstances and those of a person who is suspected of embezzling 109 billion naira, pointing out that the latter was granted a chieftaincy title.

Sowore compared his limitations to those that were placed upon notable individuals during colonial control, such as Obafemi Awolowo and Pa Imoudu. He said that he was the third person in Nigerian history to experience these kinds of restrictions.

In Sowore’s words: “The guy who stole ₦109 billion from AGF office got chieftaincy title but I was detained for 3 years in Abuja. I could not leave Abuja. Obafemi Awolowo was restricted to Lekki and Pa Imoudu the former Labour leader was restricted to Auchi under colonial rule. I am the third person in the history of Nigeria.
