Sowore: Fayemi has properties worth almost a billion naira; where did he make the money from?

 

Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi was criticized by Omoyele Sowore in a YouTube video for supposedly looking for a job as an ambassador in the United States in order to save his reputation. Sowore emphasized how many politicians, like Fayemi, strain Nigeria’s finances while enjoying extravagant lifestyles that include pricey trips and real estate both domestically and outside.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He said, “Kayode Fayemi is supposedly looking to become an ambassador of Nigeria to the US, and that is why he’s trying to claim that he has a reputation. So, but he’s not the only one; almost all of them who are in this, who have become a burden on Nigeria’s financial resources, and who claim from time to time that we don’t have enough money, but they have enough money to take care of their legal bills, their medical bills, and the bills for the education of their children.

He accused Fayemi of amassing wealth—nearly a billion naira in properties—through questionable means, diverting funds that could have improved education and healthcare in Ekiti State. Sowore condemned Fayemi’s legacy, particularly a supposedly completed airport project that remains non-operational years after its launch.

“they have enough money to go on vacations, and a multi-million dollar vacation, houses in Ghana, in Dubai, that’s the United Arab Emirates, houses in Nigeria, in the GRA area alone, according to what we file, Fayemi has properties worth almost a billion naira; where did he make the money from? Those are monies that should have gone to the education of Ekiti State kids and built hospitals. The only thing he could do before he left was to build a fake airport where ordinary tsetse flies cannot land. That’s what Fayemi did, and when he claimed that he was leaving, he launched the airport and said it was ready to fly. It has been almost how many years now?
