According to the investigation, the suspects allegedly gathered sensitive information about key military sites, including photographing and collecting data on Israel Defense Forces (IDF) bases. Targets of interest reportedly included the Kirya defence headquarters in Tel Aviv, the Nevatim and Ramat David airbases, as well as Iron Dome battery locations. These bases have been previously targeted in missile attacks and drone strikes, including the Nevatim base, which Iran hit earlier this year, and Ramat David, targeted by Hezbollah.

In addition to collecting on-site information, the suspects are accused of receiving detailed maps of strategic locations, such as the Golani base, which was struck in a recent deadly drone attack. Investigators from the Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic security service, and the police discovered that the suspects had been in contact with Iranian intelligence agents.

For their espionage activities, the group reportedly received substantial payments, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, some of which were transferred through cryptocurrency. According to prosecutors, some of the accused had been spying for Iran for over two years, while others began their operations after the war started.

The State Attorney’s Office has described the case as one of the most significant espionage investigations in recent years. Prosecutors plan to file an indictment for security offences and will request the continued detention of the suspects until the trial concludes.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
