He emphasized the importance of allowing Wike to focus on his responsibilities as the FCT Minister while also supporting the current governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara. He reaffirmed their unwavering support for Fubara’s administration, highlighting the belief that leadership should be approached in a “turn by turn” manner. This, he argued, provides Fubara with a crucial opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities in advancing the state.
He said in live coverage with Symfoni, ”We have been here for a very long time. In 1998 we installed the LG Chairman of Obio Akpor in the person of Nyesom Wike, who is now our illustrious son and is in Abuja now as Minister, and he’s doing very well there. All we pray is that he continues to do well there and will face the honourous responsibility that the president has given him, while he allows the governor of Rivers State to do his own work.
We continue to say that we support the government of Siminalayi Fubara and we will be unwavering, and that is because we are convinced that it is turn by turn.
