Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has been ruled unworthy of the title of Emir of Kano State by Aminu Danagundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano State, because his father was not an Emir. Aminu Danagundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano State, has declared that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, was not deserving of the title of Emir of Kano State because his father was not an Emir. According to Aminu Danagundi, Kwankwaso elevated Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to the position of Emir of Kano State because Sanusi provided campaign funding.

Aminu Danagundi made this statement during an interview with some journalists on Arise Television. During the interview, Aminu Danagundi said, “Sanusi Lamido Sanusi funded the campaign of Kwankwaso and that was why he was made Emir. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi paid money and that was why he came back. Even Sanusi Lamido Sanusi said this himself.”

“Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s grandfather was an Emir but his father was not an Emir. The issue is that if your father was not an Emir, then you cannot be appointed as an Emir. In the history of Kano State, I have never seen an Emir whose father was not an Emir.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
