Sam Nwanosike: I’m being punished, my allocation is being seized, I’m being threatened left and right

 

The troubled chairman of Ikwerre Local Government in Rivers State, Samuel Nwanosike, has opened out about the difficulties he has encountered as a result of his advocacy for local government autonomy.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In an interview with Arise TV, Nwanosike stated that because he dared to speak up for the independence of local governments, he is being punished. He claimed that his allocation of funds is being seized, and he is facing threats from various sides. He said despite these challenges, he remains committed to democracy. He emphasized the importance of the rule of law, respecting the constitution, and deepening democracy in Nigeria. He said these principles are essential for good governance and progress.

Nwanosike also stated that he has delivered for his community as the local government chairman. He highlighted that he has completed projects in all 13 wards of Ikwerre, showcasing his commitment to the development and well-being of his people

But it is not a problem, we believe in democracy, what is paramount is the rule of law, obedience to the constitution and making sure that democracy is deepened.
