Salome Death: The punishment by our law is death for anyone who kills someone like Timi did—According to Abdullahi Sule

 

The horrific situation of Salome, who was killed and mutilated by Timi Ajayi, has been addressed by Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule. Speaking on Brekete Family on the phone with human rights advocate Ahmed Isah, also known as Ordinary President, Governor Sule reaffirmed his government’s dedication to seeing that justice is done. According to Governor Sule, the punishment for anyone found guilty of such acts is death, as Nasarawa State does not tolerate individuals who take the lives of others without remorse. He added that this case is not being treated lightly. He assured the public that the state government is actively working on the matter and will follow through with the legal processes to ensure justice.

In Sule’s words: “There is no way we can have something like that and just keep it to ourselves. We are working on it. In Nasarawa State we already have a law in place and we have already had some convictions recently. Anybody involved in this kind of crime the punishment by our law in Nasarawa State is death. Anybody that doesn’t have conscience and takes somebody’s life the way this human being (Timi) has done, the punishment is for the person also to face the same consequences.
