He emphasized that no individual, including the FCT Minister, has the power to obstruct governance in the state. He said in an interview with Symfoni, ‘Rivers state is a federating unit, Rivers state has come to stay. Nobody can stop governance in the state, not even Wike or anybody. Rivers state is one of the federating units that contributes a lot to the center. If you stop Rivers State allocation, you should stop collecting the oil from the state. All of this is happening because we are not running a true federation. If it is a country that runs a true federation, nobody will be talking about stopping an allocation of a state. We should be talking about stopping what goes to the center because it comes from the state, which is the source.
