Rivers:Asukewe Ikoawaji 'I'm From Andoni, An Andoni Man Has No Problem With Opobo Or Ikwerre Man'

Asukewe Ikoawaji, a member of the Rivers State Elders Council, claimed in a statement regarding the Rivers state crisis that, as an Andoni man, he is aware that the Andoni people have no ill will toward the Opobo or Ikwerre groups.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He stated that the ongoing crisis is primarily because certain individuals are exploiting it for their own gain. He pointed out that these individuals are unwilling to share political control and would resort to various means to maintain their dominance in Rivers state.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”This crisis is not good because some people are the ones benefitting from it. I’m from Andoni, an Andoni man has no problem with Opobo or Ikwerre man. It is the people who feel that governance has to be within their domain that are creating this crisis. If it’s not them, it’s their wife. If it’s not their wife, it’s their children and in-laws.
