Former Governor Nyesom Wike, who is currently a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, and Governor Siminalayi Fubara are at odds. The dispute has become so intense that the Rivers State Government is no longer able to access its federal funds due to a court order.

Oshoma clarified that if Wike had not been a minister, the crisis might have been averted. “If Wike were not a minister, all of this wouldn’t have happened,” implying that Wike has more clout in the matter because of his role in the federal government.

Oshoma underlined that President Tinubu alone is capable of resolving this matter. He suggested that the president have private meetings with Wike and Fubara, away from their supporters, in order to hear their perspectives and come to a mutually agreeable conclusion. In his opinion, Rivers State elders lack objectivity and are unable to mediate disputes.

“Wike, as a governor, everybody knows he will not take this from anyone.” Oshoma stated that a significant contributing factor to the crisis is Wike’s strong personality. He asked the president to take immediate action to keep Rivers State peaceful.

Oshoma asserted that only the president has the power to bring all parties to the table and that resolving this crisis is essential to the stability and advancement of the state.CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶️▶️
