Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, proudly said in a broadcast on Symfoni TV that despite rumors of misallocated monies, the region’s civil servants are happy. Fubara highlighted that creating a positive impact on people’s lives is the most significant accomplishment a government can achieve.

According to Siminalayi Fubara, “Today, I can say boldly that our civil servants are happy. Even in the face of all the propaganda, that my allocation fell inside one bridge, our civil servants are happy. We were the first state not just to make the promise but to live up to that promise. Today, civil servants that were collecting N70,000 before are jubilating with N120,000 or N140,000. What is the greatest joy any government can achieve? It’s not just building projects.
