Rivers 27 Lawmakers:Dan Nwanyanwu, If They Decided To Fight Fubara, They Should Have Remained

 

In an interview that appeared in The Sun, Dan Nwanyanwu, the chairman of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), claimed that the lawmakers who defected from the PDP to the APC had committed a few haughty actions prior to their party transfer.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He disputed their exit. He argued they should have stayed since they had the numbers if they had chosen to battle Fubara. He made the observation that everyone, with the exception of those in Abuja, is now with the governor.

 

He claimed that everything in Rivers will be on fire during the weekend when Wike and his men move in. On Sundays, while they are going, there will be calm, and people will go about their daily lives. 

Nwanyanwu emphasized that everyone in Rivers State has shown their support for the governor by going to show solidarity. He said, “You see, soldier come, soldier go. Somebody was there before.”

 

Dan refuted claims that there is no State Assembly or a stable administration in Rivers State at the time. He stated that the state assembly would remain if 27 of the 31 or 32 were eliminated. 

Quoting him, “Until you conduct elections, people have been arguing about how three people can pass laws; those are the legitimate members of the state House of Assembly.”

 

“And they can do all things guaranteed to the state assembly to so do under the Constitution. That is why I’m telling you that there is no faction in the state House of Assembly.” 

“This State Assembly is one, and the noise, look at the impunity, thank God the court of appeal dealt with the local governments tenure some days ago that their tenure has expired.”

 

“These are some of the imperious actions taken by the so-called state House of Assembly before they left. Why did they go? If they had decided to fight Fubara, they should have remained. They had the numbers.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
