Reactions to the Abia governor’s statement that he had rebuilt the building that protesters had set on fire during #EndSars

 

After Abia State Governor Alex Otti said that he had restored an administrative office that had been set on fire by irate demonstrators, social media users took to their official X account. Alex Otti said he has commissioned the administrative office after rebuilding it. He said the event highlighted the importance of leadership that prioritizes community service over personal gain.

According to Otti;

“Today marked a significant moment as we commissioned the newly rebuilt Aba South LGA Administrative Office. Four years ago, the building was torched by angry protesters during the #ENDSARS protests, serving as a painful reminder of the consequences of injustice and the need for strong leadership in times of crisis.

“The restoration of the Aba Town Hall and the Administrative Block signifies the end of an era of neglect and the commencement of a new chapter for Aba”.
