The Sun said that Minister of Works David Umahi praised President Tinubu for taking the first steps toward bettering Igbo integration into Nigerian governance and development, but he advocated for further integration. He also highlighted the recent infrastructural developments in the South East region, attributing these positive changes to President Tinubu’s leadership.

With this in mind, he questioned the logic behind protesting against a president who has made significant strides in empowering the Igbo people and advancing their interests, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting these efforts towards greater inclusivity.

He said, “We are not going to protest. We want proper integration in the affairs of this country. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr President, started it by giving an Igbo man the Minister of Works, appointing an Igbo Man as a service chief among others.
