Adeseye-George criticized the book’s misleading title, arguing that labeling an entire country’s justice system as “criminal” is inappropriate. He emphasized that the book’s content lacks legal soundness and factual accuracy, which is demeaning to the legal profession. He stated that this case is more significant than that of Chief Afe Babalola.
In his words, “You will agree that bad news spreads faster; people have a tendency to want to listen to bad news. I have looked at this book; I wonder why so many people are reading it. This might be the motive of the young man: you take on a big man so you can become a celebrity, attacking a man of influence so that people can start discussing you in reference to that man.”
“All of this will be tested, and the title of the book is misleading; the title of the book is wrong.
