Prof Lai Olurode, We Need to be a bit More Patient and Give Tinubu Govt More time, at least 3yrs

Respected academic Lai Olurode, a retired professor of sociology who previously held the positions of national commissioner at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and dean of the University of Lagos’ Faculty of Social Sciences, stressed the value of taking your time and being patient when evaluating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to Olurode, President Tinubu took power during one of the most challenging times in Nigerian history. He asserted that a fair and realistic assessment cannot be made within just one year.

Olurode believes that even the most effective reforms require time to fully develop and demonstrate their intended benefits. Therefore, he suggests that it is crucial to be patient and give the current government at least three years before providing an objective assessment of its performance.

By allowing sufficient time for reforms to take root and mature, Professor Olurode advocates for a more comprehensive and accurate evaluation of President Tinubu’s administration.

According to The Sun, Olurode Said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed power at the most difficult and challenging times in the history of Nigeria. You cannot get a realistic assessment within one year because even the best of reforms still need time to mature to produce the intended benefits.
