Daily Post reported that this was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Anthony Chiejina, the spokesperson for the Dangote Group. He claimed that the refinery, which produces 650,000 barrels per day, reduced the price of fuel by N20, from N990 to N970 per liter.
This occurred after the business promised to maintain the quality and standards of its product.
He said, “Dangote Petroleum Refinery has affected a reduction in the prevailing price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990/litre to N970/litre for the marketers.”
“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true.”
Dangote also expressed gratitude to the government for its support, stating that this action will enhance the policies implemented to promote domestic business for the benefit of all.
“While the refinery would not compromise on the quality of its petroleum products, we assure you of the best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.”
“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption; thus, dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply,” the group said.
Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria had previously agreed that fuel would be bought directly. According to reports, fuel prices in Nigeria range from N1060 to N1,115 per liter.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
