President Tinubu is dragged by LP’s Peter Obi after he failed to return to Nigeria following a 14-day leave.

 

Mr. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for failing to return to the nation within the 14-day period that the federal government promised.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

While speaking, Peter Obi made it known that President Tinubu had told Nigerians that he would only be gone for 14 days, noting that 14 days have passed now, and Nigerians are waiting to see him in the country.

Further, the former Anambra State governor made it known that most Nigerians expected him to return earlier than expected, considering the volume of work that needs to be done in a troubled nation like Nigeria. Obi went on and noted that the untold hardship that has been unleashed on Nigerians as a result of some of his administration’s policies is unimaginable, noting that Nigerians need his urgent attention to pilot the nation out of this present situation.

Peter Obi made this disclosure in a long post he made on his official X handle on Friday morning, while reacting to the said report. He further noted that President Tinubu’s action “doesn’t represent the kind of fiscal responsibility and common sense that is expected of leaders whose people are facing severe hunger and poverty.”

In addition, the former governor of Anambra State made it known that “this is the right time to show true and committed leadership to the people, by making decisions that prioritize the well-being of the people and effective management of the nation’s scarce resources in alleviating the sufferings of the people.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
